How to fishing in MHW? ›

You already have a fishing rod in your item bar (at the bottom right of your screen). When you hit the button to use it, you'll (unsurprisingly) equip a fishing rod. You'll see a glowing column where your lure will land. You'll only be able to cast it when you're standing next to water that's deep enough for fish.

Unlike many of the other event weapons, such as the Well-Done Hammer, the Whetfish Sabers can be acquired very early on into Master Rank. The materials players will need to craft the sabers are as follows: 1 Whetfish Ticket. 2 Jyuratodus Shards.

The easiest spot to farm Whetfish is the Fishing Spot near the starting camp in Lava Caverns both in Low Rank and High Rank! This area is safe from any monsters so you can fish all you want! Whetfish Ticket is a Material type of Item in Monster Hunter World (MHW). These useful parts are gathered and collected by Hunters in order to improve their Equipment and performance out in the field. A ticket with the First Fleet's flag and emblem.
