I did hugely enjoy the new T17 content especially paired with delirium and wave 13 ultimatum it can be a nice challenge. The only issue i see was the communication. If GGG stated its content supposed to be above uber bosses it would have been totally fine. T17 as a bridge isnt working out. The maps come with quite a cost compared to T16 and if you dont juice them out the returns will be dog poop. So to make T17s worth you gotta juice em out and they become way harder than any uner boss in the game. It creates a kind of opposing gap instead of a bridge. |

i know nobody cares about hc but these maps are nearly impossible for even above average players that dont play 9-15 hours a day. I cant even imagine trying to accomplish anything in there on hcssf. |

I also view T17s as a huge failure. I agree with basically everything what PilotLanguste wrote bit earlier in this thread. I can run t17s and I do just because drops are so much better than t16s but I wouldn't bother otherwise. Bosses are just a joke. To run bosses comfortably you simply need build which can mitigate all damage in game. Or build which can kill it extremely fast because I don't think you can do it thanks to skill. Some mechanics are simply not dodgeable. In my case, playing LA Deadeye it is especially case of Ziggurat and also Sanctuary - latter bit better. My build dies if anything harmful touches it - that's simply how LA is, right? So I would love some dev show me how he fights Catarina with LA. In a tiny space, where in between lasers is in the center some degen puddle and on the floor are crawling enemies. Ofc you can't step on them before if you can't touch places where they are spawning. Abomination - which many others are complaining about is not that bad for me only because usually I kill all bosses in there before they can harm me, otherwise I would have no chance. Uber bosses are definitely much easier than t17s as you can really learn mechanics there and do it. Like killing feared Sirus is a matter of skill with LA unlike killing Catarina where it is matter of luck what skills she will use. T17's mods are utter crap. Half of them are normal build breaking. So you are just sitting in front of PC spamming chaos like an imbecile and checking if you can do it or not and if you can then check no. 2 is if it has good quant, packsize and increased scarabs/maps/currency so it is worth it. If not rinse and repeat. What a blast! T17s are making pool of viable endgame builds much, much smaller. And that is definitely not a good thing. It really feels like a creation of some delusional incompetents who saw some YT video where streamer was showing some several mirrors worth ES/armour stacker. Maybe wouldn't be bad idea if devs actually played the game including endgame so they knew what it takes and what it is like. In current state I would not be playing LA again, despite being able to do t17s, having completed all challenges and having close to mirror worth build. With this game development soon everyone will be playing same type of build. Well done! Also, I don't think that rewards difference between T16s and T17s was thought off. Anyone who is not running T17s is getting screwed too much. |

Hey friends, You ever considered that certain content could exist just to be a "Soft cap" to your capabilities (sometimes you can break it, but most of times you cant... you must roll a new toon to crack certain build etc.), not to be consistently pewpew farmed? Soft-capped content isnt meant to be confortable and loot-wise rewarding. Its meant to be extremelly disgusting and challenge-wise rewarding. Well, if this is the aproach desired by GGG, we DESERVE achievements for doing this kind of content, achievements that track "you break that valdo's map X times". However, GGG spent the entirety of the end of 3.23 selling the idea that T17 maps are supposed to "bridge the gap" between normal content and ubers. When you make a bridge between normal content and something exceptionally difficult, you typically go with content that is a mix of both. This isn't the case. I fought uber bosses for 40/40 last league and with the exception of uber Exarch which I couldn't beat, the other bosses are much easier compared to T17 maps being compounded by ridiculous mods. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. |

Consider this statement coming from a melee player. After doing my t17 challenges on sc, the absolute worst thing about these are the random rare monster stacked up modifiers. The little robot dudes that shoot lightning, super saiyan revenants, and the robot dudes that do frostbolt and the purple frostbolt looking projectiles are impossible to deal with in hc, you will always eventually die to these guys in .1 seconds. even with 1500 divine investments. That is of course unless you're playing as a ranged projectile off screen build. Which from a melee enjoyer perspective just puts me to sleep. Could we please stop making game mechanics year after year that do nothing but incentivize you to just to kill everything offscreen and never see monsters For reference, here is my build. I haven't played sc in a while but i would consider this pretty tanky by sc standards. 97k ehp with berserk turned off and molten shell on. I would play this all day in hc in t16 and normal boss farming. I don't have any idea how you could adapt it to do t17 in hc outside of 7k+ hp and you would have no damage. Outside of uber investment jugg/pf/ci trickster with mb/or archmage. It just seems like a waste of time/energy https://pobb.in/c-5BzXRT2rcd sadly without grave crafting this weapon won't be feasible to acquire unless you play 25 hours a day. to me it boils down to what players are expected to clear vs aspirational content. it would be reasonable to assume a player would slowly graduate all the way up to t16. it can be a struggle for players to actually clear the pinnacle bosses but i think it's somewhat still doable. all these should fall in the realm of expected. however its almost like ggg forgot that uber pinnacles are aspirational content. content that was created with the idea that not all players would be able to clear em and thus was considered "optional" content. making a bridge to optional content actually can work. its funny, the bridge ggg provided is a huge spike in difficulty from 16 to 17 and people give feedback that it can be harder than the uber bosses themselves. hilarious.
