To give Socratic a question, you can take a photo of a problem, type it out, or use voice input.
Photo input
Follow these instructions to use your device's camera to enter a question or explanation into Socratic:
- Open the Socratic app.
- Tap Photo Camera .
- Take a picture of the question or explanation with your device's camera.
- Crop the image to only include the section you want to ask about. To crop the image, drag the corners.
- Tap Go and Socratic analyzes the photo.
- Socratic presents the most relevant resources to help you understand your topic.
- Scroll to see more resources to help you understand the topic.
Note: You must allow Socratic access to your phone's camera to use this feature.
Text input
Follow these instructions to use your device's digital keyboard to enter a question into Socratic:
- Open the Socratic app.
- Tap Search .
- Use the keyboard to type out the question.
- Tap Search on the keyboard and Socratic analyzes the question.
- Socratic presents the most relevant resources to help you understand your question.
- Scroll to see more resources to help you understand the question.
Voice input
Follow these instructions to use your device's microphone to enter a question into Socratic:
- Open the Socratic app.
- Tap Mic .
- Speak the question into your phone's microphone.
- When you stop talking, Socratic translates your words into text and analyzes your question.
- Socratic presents the most relevant resources to help you understand your question.
- Scroll to see more resources to help you understand the question.
