No. IKEA beds and bedding do not fit standard European sizes. Only the IKEA pillows (65 cm x 65 cm) are standard European (not UK) sizes.

I just realised the duvet on the spare bed is from IKEA and I have taken it out of the 'normal-sized' cover and measured it and it's 190x135. But it's several years old and on their website now they're listed as measuring 200x150 so I reckon they've changed the sizing. I need to buy couple of duvets for sleepovers at g/parents so have the same problem as you, ggirl. Maybe try Argos? That's my new plan.

Bonsoir is absolutely right. Ikea bedding is different from our's - as it's in European sizes (bigger). What you need is a single duvet from a good British brand, like this one, I think these are the best duvets around!
But I must admit - I too love shopping at Ikea. Can't pretend to always buy British myself !

ooh georgim-so the cover fits nicely ?it's not too small for the duvet?
ds's ikea duvet cover is way too big for his single duvet and hence has annoying floppy bits of cover flapping around

ikea duvet covers are massive - massive even on their duvets. I think it's because they often don't have poppers or ties so they leave a bit of a flap at the bottom.
It fits fine, I have no idea of the dimensions but both are less than a year old. Other, non posh, duvets fit too - wilkos finest even (incidentally his favourite)!

yes ikea covers are sh*te I think
